About Me
Growth Marketer at Heart
I've spent more than 20 years in marketing, working for start-ups and large publicly-traded companies. When I began my career, there were two main forms of marketing: brand marketing and what was called direct response (DR) marketing back then. Google hadn't been born yet and AdWords wouldn't be introduced to the world for another four years after that. Facebook and the iPhone would come a few years later. It's hard to imagine how we found anything or connected socially or professionally before that.

Because I'm analytical as much as (maybe more than) I am creative, I always enjoyed the DR aspect of marketing - figuring out which campaigns produced the best results (the ROI); that's why I gravitated towards DR marketing. Over the two decades that I've been honing my skills, DR marketing matured and expanded into myriad channels and the discipline became known simply as direct marketing. Now, direct marketing is referred to as performance marketing and more recently as growth marketing - which I believe better reflects its primary objective of helping companies grow: in customers, sales, revenue, employees, awareness, etc. And the line between brand and direct marketing are blurring as companies realize the importance of return on spend.

I'm excited for this new chapter and I appreciate the referrals and immense support from family and friends. Please let me know how I can be of service.
